Course Guide for BIOL 1715

This course is designed to help students explore and begin to prepare for careers in biology and related fields. Soft skills that lead to success will be emphasized, including study techniques, career resources, library research, degree planning, and resume building. Students will also be introduced to the biology faculty and their research interests.

Learning Objectives:

1. Develop a personalized degree-completion plan that reflects a logical plan for completing a biology degree
2. Develop a CV or resume that meets professional standards
3. Demonstrate ability to find primary and secondary sources in biology
4. Demonstrate ability to present logical, informed, and evidence-based solutions to real-world problems
