Part 1 of the first lab has students evaluate the feasibility and ethics of different research hypotheses. They must define the IV & DV, along with operational definitions of each, and identify a potential extraneous variable. Part 2 of the first lab has students practice analyzing data from a between-subjects design experiment, while the second lab has them practice using a within-subject design experiment.
