This guide was created for managing the records and files for information and procedures for the Columbus Area Library Association.

CALA Scholarship

The Columbus Area Library Association (CALA) Professional Development Scholarship will be awarded to an individual who is currently enrolled in an American Library Association (ALA) accredited library/information science program, enrolled in a graduate school media program, or a librarian in the first two years of practice.  The scholarship is intended to encourage the professional development of library/information science school students and library professionals new to the field.  The application process is open to individuals who plan to work in the Chattahoochee Valley area.

The scholarship award, not to exceed $300.00, will offset expenses for conference attendance, training, and/or membership fees in the Georgia Library Association, Georgia Library Media Association, and/or Columbus Area Library Association.  

Recommended Conferences:  Meetings of the Georgia Library Association, Georgia Library Media Association, and Georgia Educational Technology Consortium
