What does CALA mean?
CALA stands for Columbus Area Library Association.
Who can join CALA?
CALA is open to anyone who is interested in libraries. Current members include librarians, media specialists, library staff, teachers, community members.
How much are membership dues?
Annual dues are $20 for librarians
$10.00 for paraprofessionals and community members, and retirees
Dues cover the membership year from July to June.

What are the benefits of CALA membership?
CALA provides great opportunities to network with library colleagues from local public, academic, school, and special libraries as well as community members. CALA also offers many and varied opportunities to learn about library resources, library services, and other topics of interest to library employees and supporters.
How often does CALA meet?
CALA meets four times a year. Meetings and events are also announced on the CALA web site.
Where does CALA meet?
Meetings take place at different local libraries.
What happens at CALA meetings?
Meetings frequently feature programs centered around the resources and/or services of the libraries and other library - related topics. The spring meeting in May is at a local restaurant.
