Overview

Overview of Add an existing activity to ContentYou can add the different existing activities and can reuse them in the current course.

Overview of Create a new ModuleYou can create a new module to add the content to it.

Content Topics

If you set a start, end, or due date for a topic or module, it appears on the Upcoming Events page and the Agenda view in the Calendar tool. Setting an end date later than the due date for a topic enables learners to access and complete the topic from the Overdue tab on the Course Schedule page. Topics with a due date and no end date also appear in the Overdue tab on the Course Schedule page.

  1. From the navigation bar, select Content item.

  1. On the Table of Contents page, select Bulk Edit.

  1. For any topic or module that you want to add availability or due dates to, select Add dates and restrictions.

  1. Do any of the following:
    • To add a start date, select Add start date. Enter your start date details.
    • To add a due date, select Add due date. Enter your due date details.
    • To add an end date, select Add end date. Enter your end date details.
  2. Select Update.
  3. Select Done Editing.

 Note: Adding a due date to a content item that is associated to an assignment overrides an existing end date that is further in the future. The due date also overrides the end date in the Calendar tool.

  1. On the navbar, select Content.

  1. On the Table of Contents page, for the module you want to add an existing activity, select Existing Activities and do one of the following:
    • To add an existing Kaltura media, select Add Kaltura Media.
    • To add an existing assignment, select Assignments
    • To add an existing checklist, select Checklist.
    • To add an existing discussion topic, select Discussions.
    • To add an existing external learning tool, select External Learning Tools.
    • To add an existing quiz, select Quizzes.
    • To add an existing self-assessment, select Self Assessments.
    • To add an existing survey, select Surveys.
    • To add an existing TurnItIn PeerMark, select TurnItIn PeerMark.
    • To add an existing Video Assignment, select Video Assignment.

  1. Do one of the following:
    • To insert an existing activity, in the Add Activity window, selecton the activity.
    • To create and insert a new activity, in the Add Activity window, select Create New [activity]. Enter your activity details and select Create and Insert.

You must create a new module before you can add topics. You can also create sub-modules (modules within existing modules) to establish a deeper hierarchy.

  1. On the navbar, select Content.

  1. In the Table of Contents panel, select Add a module.
  2. In the module filed of Table of Contents, Enter the name of your module and press Enter.
